Dr. Chelsea Baraff and Yorkie Beso
Welcome to 7 Peaks Dental! I am excited to be here in Bend and to get to know each and every
one of you.
I am born and raised in Lake Havasu City, AZ. I come from a small family that values education
and pursuing dreams as I am a third-generation doctor (along with my older brother in Seattle)
and a second-generation dentist, following in my father’s footsteps. My mother has worked in a
dental office, currently, as an office manager as well as previously in the back office, for over
45 years.
Being raised in a household of constant “tooth talk” is what sparked my interest in the field at a young age. I do not recall any other career path being an option since the young age of eight! I am a family person and they are my number one priority with my niece being the highlight of my life. I remained in Arizona close to my family through most of my life by continuing to undergrad at the University of Arizona in Tucson and then to Midwestern University-College of Dental Medicine in Phoenix. I moved to Portland, OR in 2013 and since came to Bend for both my career and the love of the weather. During my time here, I learned that my hobbies vary seasonally in the Pacific Northwest.
In the winters I enjoy snowboarding and hope to eventually try snowmobiling; while in the summer months, I am usually on the water behind a boat wake-surfing or on the course bettering my golf game. I recently got back into camping and even picked up fly fishing! I am ecstatic about the wealth of outdoor opportunities Bend has to offer. My quiet time at home involves binge watching shows, most likely with a glass of wine in hand. When I get the chance to do so, my greatest passion is traveling. Most of my travel time lately has been spent in Mexico where I can practice speaking Spanish and am able to eat tacos and chilaquiles every day!
Previously, I was involved with the community of Portland metro area through my membership in the Multnomah County Dental Society attending events, continuing education and volunteer work as well as sitting as a delegate for my component chapter of the Oregon Board of Dentistry. I have also participated multiple years in the Oregon Mission of Mercy providing life-changing oral health care to patients that have barriers to oral health care. Since moving here, I became a member of the Central Oregon Dental Society and am enthusiastic about becoming an integral part of this new community as well.
